Introduction
In order to be able to make progress and work hard toward your school related goals, you first need to create an effective study space for yourself. Effective study spaces are clean, comfortable, and personalized. It should also be somewhere you are able to work every day to develop good study habits. Above all, it should be someplace you WANT to be!

Key Ideas
- A good study space makes you WANT to study. It should be appealing and inviting to YOU.
- Generally, this means it should be easily accessible, familiar, uplifting, clean, comfortable (but not too comfortable), naturally well-lit, quiet or free from distracting noise, personalized, free of distractions (phone, TV, friends, siblings), and not used for things besides studying.

Research: Watch online videos or examples of study spaces to get some ideas.
Be sure you’re realistic about your space and budget! - Design: Spend some time thinking about what you’d like in your ideal study space. Draw or write out ideas for how you can design or improve your current study space.
- Personalize: Put your ideas into action! Take some time to personalize your study space in a way that makes it more inviting and comfortable to you!
- Clean: Spend some time CLEANING your study space. Eliminate distracting clutter and/or dirt that makes you wish you were somewhere else!
