Introduction

Today’s world moves FAST! This is one of the reasons the stressors we have discussed have a larger and deeper impact on us than ever before. One way we can combat against this is to take the time to hit the pause button. While there are many preconceived notions of what mindfulness is. What it boils down to is being present in the moment. There are many different ways to achieve this state and it’s important to figure out which works best for you! Key Ideas

  • We are all incredibly busy and are constantly bombarded with messages and expectations. It’s important to take time to clear your mind so that you can be present for yourself and live according to your own expectations and beliefs!
  • While meditation, yoga, and prayer are common mindfulness practices, you can practice mindfulness in any way that you find works for YOU!

Apply

  • Take time to engage in one of the guided reflection or meditation exercises in the links above. You may feel silly at first but you won’t know if it works for you until you TRY it!
  • Brainstorm moments in your day that you already find yourself feeling mindful and meditative. This may help you find ways to incorporate this more easily into your life!
  • Stop Multitasking. Challenge yourself for one day to do only ONE thing at a time. How does it feel?
