Do you dream of becoming a famous musician or entrepreneur?  Or perhaps you have dreamt of falling in love or inventing a new vaccine that can change the world? No matter what your wildest dreams are, in order to make these dreams come true, you have to set reasonable goals for yourself.  In fact, goals are the stepping stones to making our dreams come true.

Goals may be long term, reaching far into the future.  They may be short term, achievable in the next month or school term.  Goal-setting can be applied to all aspects of your life including family, friendships, and academics.

In this lesson, we will explore how to set realistic goals for ourselves by following some simple pieces of advice.  We will also look at obstacles that can get in our way and discourage us, physically and mentally, from reaching our goals.  Finally, you will have the opportunity to apply the skills learned in this lesson to create a plan to reach a real-life goal.
