Help with STEM classes

Introduction

Is there anything quite as thrilling as a STEM class? Whether you’re exploring biology, astronomy, physics, chemistry, or anatomy, you're uncovering the mysteries of yourself and the world around you. You're conducting experiments and striving to understand the intricacies of life and the universe. Mathematics, with its ability to explain every aspect of the cosmos, offers the ultimate intellectual challenge, turning equations into captivating puzzles. However, as fascinating as science and math can be, they sometimes present obstacles that can leave us puzzled. This is where AI comes in. Let's explore how you can use AI to enhance and simplify your experience in STEM classes, making learning more accessible and engaging.

Consensus

If you have visited the "Help with Research" page, you will notice that Consensus is similar to Perplexity. The difference is Consensus searches scholarly articles in the science field. Let's explore what we can do with Consensus.

Basic Search

Once you have created an account with Consensus and signed in, you can ask it a scientific question. For example, let's investigate if there is a connection between the blue light in our smart devices and computers and sleep quality:

In this "Basic Search" you can see a list of articles that relate to the question. You can click on each article listed and read it. Consensus makes it easy to cite the articles in your research by clicking "Cite" beneath each article.

Basic Search + Synthesize

If you toggle the "Synthesize" option, you will be provided with an answer to your question that is based on the research of scholarly articles. The articles then are provided below your inquiry. The "Cite" option is also available here.

Basic Search + Copilot

If you toggle the "Copilot" option, Consensus will provide a suggestion for a research outline and summary points for each topic. Each encircled number that follows the summary point can be clicked to check the source of the information. Even with scientific AI tools, it is always important to check the sources and ensure the information is correct and from a reliable source!
