Part 1: Evaluating movements in the development of psychology

Choose one of the following movements in psychology.  Generate at least one convincing argument in favor of the value of the movement, and one against it. Cite evidence and support from the text where appropriate.  Your initial post should be at least 2 to 3 sentences.

1. Behaviorism
2. Psychoanalysis
3. Functionalism
4. Humanism
5. Structuralism

You should refer back to the Openstax Psychology text section 1.2 History of Psychology Links to an external site.  and the modules section 1.2 History of Psychology in the course pages to answer this question.

In addition, think back to the guidelines described in SB 1: Quality Contributions to Online Discussions as you're making your initial post.

Part 2: Peer Response

Evaluate the arguments of at least 2 of your peers. Try to comment on writers who chose a different movement from the one you chose to write about. Did the writers make a convincing argument? Why or why not? Again, provide evidence and support from the text where appropriate.
