Mizzou Academy

Welcome

We are pleased that you selected this course to fulfill your unique educational needs. You are now a member of the Mizzou Academy's large and diverse student body—a student body that comes from all parts of the United States and many parts of the world.

Although the freedom to choose when and where to study is a privilege, it is also a responsibility that requires motivation and self-discipline. To succeed at self-paced learning, you will need to develop a study plan by setting realistic goals and working toward them.

Course Overview

In this course, you will discover the multitude of advantages that come with engaging in a physically active lifestyle. These benefits encompass various aspects of your well-being, including social health, natural disease prevention, and fostering a strong mind-body connection. Ultimately, maintaining a consistent, well-designed, and diligently executed fitness regimen will contribute significantly to achieving a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Along with proper nutrition, exercise plays a crucial role in reducing stress, shedding body fat, promoting lean muscle mass, fortifying bones, and boosting self-esteem. Furthermore, an active lifestyle can enhance social interactions and support mental well-being, which encompasses all three dimensions of your Health Triangle. Once you incorporate a personalized fitness plan, you can anticipate increased energy levels, muscular strength, endurance,  flexibility, and enhanced cardiovascular health. These benefits often become evident shortly after implementing a reasonable exercise program. Fitness for Well-Being equips you with practical knowledge and the necessary tools to set and achieve these goals. As you begin this course, remember that fitness is a personal journey. The success of any program hinges entirely on your commitment and willingness to take the appropriate actions that are suitable for your individual circumstances. The team at Mizzou Academy is here to support you throughout this transformative journey.
